After a series of events that caused delays for both of us, I finally met up with the cute guy I met at the bar at around 1:30 last night. This was at a party at Stanford. He was really tired, but we still managed to walk and dance and kiss and he was a total gentleman. Sadly, he left for SoCal this morning, and that was the last I’ll probably ever see of him. Oh well.

About last night.

So my friend and I went bar hopping in Palo Alto, like I said. The first place we went to was this sports bar type place, and it was super crowded. We got hit on by several guys, none of which were particularly attractive. Whatever. Then we went to this club type place that had a dance floor, and that was, for the most part, awesome. At first we were dancing and more creepy guys hit on us, but then I spotted this guy who I thought was REALLY cute. At this point I had had about three or four drinks, so I had enough confidence to walk up and start dancing with him. We danced and talked for like a half an hour, and it was amazing. He was really nice and polite and not handsy or anything. Totally perfect. I was hoping he went to Stanford, but it turns out he’s from Dallas, went to IU, and now lives in LA doing film stuff (he’s 23 and graduated from Indiana last year). His best friend (who was also very handsome) had graduated from Stanford last year, so they were up here visiting for the weekend. Sigh. We exchanged numbers and he said he’d text me today, and so far he hasn’t. Oh well. I had fun. I will definitely be going back to these places a lot this summer.

On a side note, I went to Whole Foods today to get a salad from their salad bar. I ended up getting a bacon-wrapped hot dog instead. They had them in the deli and I couldn’t resist. I feel like Liz Lemon.

Update: he invited me out again tonight. :D
